Dr. Ryan Calvi was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California.
Prior to joining Berks Oral Surgery he worked in South Burlington, Vermont for four years.
Dr. Calvi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pennsylvania Dental Society.
Outside of work, Dr. Calvi enjoys snowboarding/Skiing, working out, traveling, sampling craft beers, and spending time with his wife and two children.
He graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Chemistry, Dr. Calvi then earned his master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder before receiving his dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2011, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery internship followed by a 4-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Christiana Care Health System and at Nemours/Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Delaware, where he was chief resident in his final year. While there he had the opportunity to take part in full-scope maxillofacial surgery; including oral surgical procedures, TMJ disorders, oral pathology, management of complex facial trauma, office based anesthesia services and more .
Dr. Calvi’s clinical interests include all facets of oral and maxillofacial surgery, especially maxillofacial trauma, dental extraction, dental alveolar surgery including implants, cosmetics and office based anesthesia. He is currently a member of the Reading Hospital medical staff.
